1971 Ford Fairmont XY GT Sedan

Spotted on Ebay Australia in early 2019, this is a South African Falcon GT (known as the Fairmont GT over there). These cars were exported as CKD kits to South Africa from Australia, with many having found their way back to Australia since there is such huge GT demand.

At the time the car was advertised, it was asking $85,000. Far less than what you'd pay for a GT-HO and less than an Aus GT, but certainly a more affordable way to get into the GT scene.. The seller noted the following comments at the time it was advertised:

• Converted from auto to 4 speed toploader
• Engine 351 v8 / 9" diff / all gt instruments and dash etc
• Custom leather interior
• Original colour was white  and resprayed metallic gun metal grey 
• Brand new twin exhaust fitted
• Electronic distributor fitted with matching coil.
