Vehicle details
A very rare site and one of only 224 Australian delivered E28 M535i examples, this first generation really stood out to us as an excellent investment for someone looking to spend around $20,000. This example is asking $23,000 Australian dollars - check out the advertisement here on carsales.com.au.
Worldwide, there were around 10,300 of these cars built, and unsurprisingly they are proving increasingly desirable worldwide. Jump back on carsales in 5 years time and we're confident you'll see this sort of car pulling over $30,000 in a similar condition, despite needing some tidying up.
The car is finished in Diamond Black metallic paint with black leather trim. It is stated as having driven just 145,000km (the seller notes that the dash displays 69,500, but documentation points to the original odometer being replaced when the car was at 75,000km.
The car is factory fitted with the close ratio dog-leg manual gearbox and LSD, and has received upgraded brakes from an E34 540i. It sits on "Style 32" wheels which give the car a bit of an Alpina look, and are well suited to the car. The seller notes that there has been a lot spent on the car over the last few years, and provides a huge list work undertaken in the original advertisement.
