CR did a write up on these cars some years ago - and production numbers were a bit uncertain - but from several sources we gathered under 50 were produced. The seller is claiming 35, which could be true. Check out some of the other examples on the register below..

The car represents an attempt by Dick Johnson to produce a Falcon capable of winning races after Ford killed the v* in late 1982. All Grand Prix Falcons produced were fitted with a 4.1L 6 Cylinder motor, some being turbo charged, some fuel injected and some simply carburetor-ed. A choice of transmission was offered the manual being a Borg Warner single rail from the V8 XE or an automatic Borg Warner series 35 which was only available with the non- turbo cars.
The interior of the car used the seats from the XE ESP, being Scheel 201's and these were trimmed in an exclusive blue/grey velour back and front. ALl of the True Blue cars had vinyl door trims and hood linings as they were intended to be the race car model, whist the red cars were trimmed throughout in grey velour and were available with all of the Fairmont Ghia options. The instrumentation package is from S Pac Falcon with all gauges etc.
The suspension package was also developed by Dick Johnson and was said to have used Lovell coils and Bilstein shocks but in reality many of the cars were inconsistent in their specification.
The tyre and wheel package

consisted of B.F Goodrich VR rated radials: 225/50 R15 on the front and 245/50 R15 on the rear. The wheels are Enkei 3 piece modular alloy wheels, 8" wide on the front and 9" wide on the rear. Perhaps the most important aspect of the car is that it received full government A.D.R approval for all of the modified parts and is therefore fully road legal in all of the states in Australia. This is further emphasised by the fact that Suncorp Insurance recognise the car as a legitimate production vehicle and include it on their books.
