1979 Ford Escort MK2 RS2000 (coupe)

A rare Australian RS2000 on the register, this car was spotted for sale on Ebay in June 2016, asking $23,000 (AUD), with the reserve not met. The car appears to be a genuine RS2000, however, does not seem to have a matching engine number. The seller made the following comments in the original advertisement:

"Hi this is my RS 2000 Coupe, I have just finished rebuilding her, paint is not new but is in very good condition with only a couple of minor blemishes, no expense has been spared. All this stuff is brand new. New Koni adjustable struts, adjustable tops, quick rack, adjustable lower arms, willwood front brakes and discs, siera rear disc brakes, rs 2000 gearbox, quaife LSD 3.54:1 , alloy radiator, thermo fan, complete engine reco stock with a mild cam , twin carbs dyno tuned 75 kw at 6500 rpm, burton ignition system, all interior black fabric, carpets, tinted windows, clarion sterio, fuel pump and lines, fuel reg, wheels, tyres, sports exhaust, extractors, brake master cylinder, brake power booster, all cables, door seals, boot seals, window baily channels, etc, all receipts, all numbers are matching and correct, codes are also correct, colour is also correct.
