The 50s S-series coupes and convertibles are among the most desirable Bentley's ever built, and it's no surprise that this example was asking nearly $425,000 (AUD) when we spotted it advertised in July 2021. The car looks amazing in two tone blue, with a nicely contrasting grey cloth trim. Just 431 Continentals were built. They were of course the sporting range at the time, and far ore light-weight than the standard seda. Personally, I prefer the way these earlier cars look (in compariseon say to the S3 continental with dual lights). This S1 is much more pure in appearance. The bodies of these cars were provided to special order for a premium by coachbuilders (in this case, by Park Ward). Supposedly, Pininfarina was involved in the pre-production designs. Really, this is the ultimate in collector car.
