Although it was the least successful in the WRC (thanks to getting itself banned), it is my favourite GT-Gour model.. Something about the muscular styling has always done it for me, and I still have the Tamiya Castrol WRC radio control version from when I was a kid. These are a great modern classic which it seems are now on the allowed import list as a 30+ year old car, and are streaming in (but demanding hefty prices). This ST205 was spotted on gumtree Australia, located in WA, asking $57,000! And it's not even one of the 75 units brought into Australia for homologation - it's a later model Japanese import (although yes, it's effectively the same spec but without the LE numbering). In the original ad, the seller made the following comments:
"Car has genuine 102700 kms, recently had a fresh panel and paint job, resprayed in orginal super red 4. The car also has new glass and body moulds, so exterior is immaculate. Whilst doing that I had all the interior out and bought new or replaced bits to also make immaculate.
Only mods to the interior is Ive installed:
-Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth/hands free
-Pioneer 6.5" speakers (splits) in doors
-Pioneer 6" speakers (2 ways) in back seat area -Cyclops remote central locking
-Darkest legal ceramic tint.

Walbro 255 fuel pump.
Rebuilt ct20b turbo.
New exedy heavy duty clutch.
New sway bar links.
New sway bar bushes.
New banana front arms.
New bc coilovers.
New bonnet underlay.
New custom 4 piece floor mats
New front/rear rotors.
New rebuilt front/rear calipers.
New rear wheel bearings.
Aftermarket 3sgte dump pipe fitted with euro 4 high flow cat with gt4 play full 3 inch stainless steel exhaust but also fitted a magnaflow muffler so nice quite but still has 3sgte noise.
Wheels have been repaired and freshly painted in grey lexus colour to try match the orginal colour then fitted with hankook tyres all round.
The car is in immaculate condition throughout and a true Japanese/rally icon. She drives like new now, all parts are genuine toyota or have been brought from gt4 play in United Kingdom."
