1989 Nissan Skyline R31 Silhouette GTS2 (SVD)

This car was advertised on Ebay in June 2013, with an asking price of $6,626 AUD. This is number 118 of 200 and is fitted with a manual transmission. At the time of sale, the seller made the following comments about the car:

"You're bidding on a very clean unrestored 1989 Nissan Skyline R31 GTS series 2. build #118 of 200 made by Nissan SVD - Special Vehicles Division.  

These were built in very limited numbers in two models in 1988 and 1989 to take on the mighty new HSV Group A 'Walkinshaw'. SVD being Nissan Australia's performance arm. headed up by legendary ex racer Fred Gibson and team manager the late Howard Marsden. Little is known about these cars. except owners love their machines so much they rarely sell. and it is rare to find one of these on the open market.   

3 previous owners from new. nbsp;the 2nd owner was a Nissan Motorsport (NISMO) employee and pumped most of his paycheque into extensive underbonnet modifications. including turbocharger. intercooler. custom head. fully rebuilt modified bottom end. valve train upgrades. custom exhaust and much more. car is believed to produce over double the original factory 140kw output. Low 254. 00 km.

Car retains its standard correct paint. body. wheels. interior etc. so is a true sleeper! I have around 90 Aussie muscle cars including numerous tough V8s and this car eats all of them for breakfast! Could easily be reverted to original if desired.

Presents like new inside and out. recent professional paint and repairs on front spoiler carried out since photos were taken. certainly an outstanding example. and probably the fastest street driven SVD GTS around!"
