1997 Ford Falcon EL GT

 Getting another EL GT on the register - this one build number 178 of just 272 built, advertised on carsales.com.au in February 2022. The car has 120,000ish on the clock, and was asking $76,500 - most of these EL GTs tend to be $60k and upward. See the original ad here.

At the time the car was offered, the seller made the following comment: 

"Ford Falcon GT 1997 Production No 178. Factory Sparkling Burgundy, Sunroof, Automatic vehicle. Dealer options of Protection package and Tinted windows. Has been a Qld vehicle its whole life, sold through Torque Ford at Redcliffe Qld. Immaculate car, mechanically, body and paint. Original body ID stickers are still on all panels. Vehicle has been maintained to be stock standard with no modifications. Full owner history, logbook history, original sales receipts, and photographs of car being collected by original owner when new. I have details of when the vehicle was built (date) and build numbers. Since my ownership I have carried out the following – note most these items were not required to be done, more to have the vehicle in top condition to my standards: * Vehicle detailed - exterior polish and wax sealed, interior carpet treatment and seat leather/fabric conditioned and treated, Engine Bay detailed (with no silicone products) * Original GT wheels refurbished/painted, with new chrome valves to match factory style. (Original Spare with original fitment OEM Yokohama tyre) * New Yokohama tyres to be close to OEM. * New reproduction floor mats (original driver side was missing, other 3 original mats will be provided in sale) * Ignition tail rebuilt to fix starting issue. New starter motor replaced (thought that was the issue – original starter motor will be supplied with sale) * A/C re-gased and system checked * Mechanical items changed over the past 18mths include: - Oil and Filter change - Brake fluid flush and new fluid - Coolant flush and new coolant - Diff oil change - MAF sensor clean - New Oil Pressure Sensor - Power Steering fluid flush and new fluid - New drive belt - New top radiator hose - New air filter - New fuel filter - Gearbox service, new filter & oil - New spark plugs, ignition leads, distributor cap, rotor & ignition coil - New battery with high CCA - Wheel Alignment Qld issued personalised Plates ‘Q GT97’ to suit the car, and remaining registration (till April 22) can be negotiated in sale to Qld buyers only. Spare keys, GT Keyring, GT Owners Manual leather pouch included in sale, along with the 3x original floor mats (noted above) and carpet dash mat."
