1967 Morris Mini Cooper S (MK1)
Vehicle details
Another rare Australian Cooper S, this one in a beautiful original colour combination of Burgundy Red on Toga White. Built in 1967, this is one of approximately 4,500 MK1 Cooper S cars built in Australia, and they are becoming increasingly thin on the ground in original condition. The Aussie cars benefited from a few unique features above their international counterparts, including quarter windows plus wind up windows (in pace of full length sliding windows), as well as twin fuel tanks.
This car appears to have been restored in the recent past, and a few aftermarket features have been added (such as the wheel arch flares, and several interior items which are not correct or original). The car overall appears to be very clean, and could easily be taken back to correct spec on those minor items, and would certainly not lose any value as a long term investment. We think the genuine Cooper S price rises are only just getting started, with this particular car asking $35,000 (AUD) in February 2017, on carsales.com.au.
