A no-reserve auction for an EA Brock B8 Falcon (number 102 of 131), here on Ebay Australia. With such low numbers built, rarely do you get the opportunity to acquire one, and in auction format this will certainly be an interesting test as to market values.

Through his company Austech Automotive Developments, the 9-times Bathurst winner Peter Brock decided he wanted to produce a number of vehicles based on the Falcon S and Fairmont Ghia models, which represented brand new Falcon architecture at the time. The decision to do this came as a shock to most of Peter's die-hard Holden fans who had always associated the man with modified Commodores. Since Holden had ceased association with Brock in 1987, Brock saw the opportunity to go his own way, and Ford's new vehicle line-up was in a good position to benefit from an experienced performance car development team.

Numerous changes were made to the cars mechanically, aesthetically and for comfort. The most obvious thing you notice is the low stance and 16-inch cast alloy wheels, a revised front air-dam and side-skirts. These subtle amendments make the car look very sleek in comparison to the standard EA Falcon. The seller notes that the car runs well and is in good overall condition - referencing only one area of rust in the rear dog-leg panel as pictured. It hasn't been registered in around 10 years, so would likely need a mechanical check-over, and a closer look would certainly be recommended if the price gets up toward $10,000.
