1969 Plymouth
Vehicle details
The Plymouth Road Runner is the almost forgotten muscle car of the American automotive hay days (1960s - 1970s) when compared to the likes of Ford's Mustang, Chevy SS and Camaro. The Road Runner featured larger displacement sized when compared to its counterparts from Detroit with the entry level block size being the 383 cu inch (6.3L) V8. The motor for its time was ahead of the pack with its power output being 250KW and a massive 576Nm of torque to top it off. Plymouth ended up selling in excess of 45,000 of these in the year this model was introduced (1968) when it was expected to only sell 20,000 units.
As seen in the pictures this is a relatively clean example (for its age) of a Road Runner, this car's mechanical components were rebuilt about 10 years ago and has only 12,000 miles on the origional rebuilt engine. The car retains its factory 3 speed automatic. The interior (much like the exterior) has been refurbished, many of the interior panels and linings are the origional factory installed items, these are in great condition for a car of this age.
This car was for sale in Australia for $45,000 AUD in mid April 2017.
