1959 Mercury Colony Park Series 1

With approximately 5,929 of these being produced in 1959 and only two in Australia (that are known of) this is a rare example of Mercury's Colony Park. The Colony Park was the luxury station wagon and has become an American icon, especially the side woodgrain finished models of the 1970s and 1980s. Weighing an astonishing 5000 pounds and featuring Ford's 430 ci V8 block this is your typical big lumbering V8 passenger vehicle that became synonymous with American brands at the time.

This car was for sale at the start of May 2017 for $14,000 AUD and would be a perfect specimen for someone to restore it back to its original glory. This has most of the original panels and accessories fitted to the vehicle in the factory and also comes with the original engine.
