1984 Nissan 300ZX Z31 50th Anniversary

This low mileage 50th Anniversary Z31 has been advertised on Ebay USA for some months now, with offers struggling to reach the $10,000 mark. It's a beautiful example of this relatively low production special edition (5,148 built), which the seller notes is in excellent overall condition, with everything working as it should. 

This version of the 50th Anniversary edition was sold in the USA and Canada, and naturally celebrated the company's semi-centennial in 1984, offering additional luxury features combined with the turbocharged engine. 

Inside, cars came equipped with a digital dash and ancillary gauges including average mileage, G-force, and compass readouts, in-car electronic adjustable shocks, Bodysonic speakers in the seats, cruise and radio controls in the steering wheel, mirrored t-tops, embroidered leather seats and embroidered floor mats. Outside, all 50th Anniversary cars were painted in Light Pewter Metallic over Thunder Black, with unique gold pin striping, decals and accents - and a 50th Anniversary badge on the driver's side front fender. They were fitted with sixteen-inch (406 mm) aluminium wheels, rear fender flares and flared front fenders which gave the car a much more appealing stance. Cars were also issued with a grey cloth indoor car cover with 50AE printing. The only option available to the 50th Anniversary cars was the choice between an automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission.
