One of only a few Leyland Mini GTSs we've got on Classic Register. To see the Mini GTS register, click here) The GTS is a little known and rare factory performance Mini, having only been produced for the South African market from 1973 to 1979, and retained very similar mechanical specifications to the original 1275 Cooper S. Only 4,212 GTSs were produced in total. This particular car is a 1979 model, being the last iteration of the GTS, with an 1144BA model number, and a few unique features which distinguish it from the earlier cars (such ast the tail lamps with integrated reverse lenses among many other changes).

This car was found for sale on an expired advertisement on http://classiccarmarket.co.za - possibly advertised some time in early 2017. It appears to have undergone a restoration to close to original specifications, and is one of the cleanest we've seen in a while.
