1964 Austin Mini Cooper S 970cc (MK1)

This 970cc Cooper S sold in 2014 through handh.co.uk. The 970cc-powered Cooper S was a homologation special that accounted for just 963 sales. Stated to have had seven custodians to date and to have been dry-stored for twenty-seven years prior to entering the current ownership, 'EBH 243B' was treated to an extensive restoration in 2010/2011.

A trained panel beater, the vendor managed to repair the Mini's original shell himself but had its factory-fitted 970cc engine professionally overhauled. Refinished in its original livery of Old English White with a Black roof, the Austin sports Red/Grey brocade trim and has covered just 330 miles since work was completed.
