1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Vehicle details
The Mustang began its life known as a soft "Pony car", this was not the image that the Ford motoring company wanted for its latest release. Ford soon commissioned Carol Shelby who developed the racing variant of the mustang; the Shelby GT series. Soon after this as the body shape of the mustang evolved the mustang developed into a more aggressive car of the 1970s, This was most evident in the Ford Mustang Mach 1. With its shark front and sharp angles the Mach one soon became a an icon of American design in the early 1970s
This particular example of the Mach 1 is a project car that is currently for sale in Australia for $25,000 AUD. It is unrestored and essentially a rolling shell. This will need to be restored to bring it back to its former glory. The body is in great shape with 99% of the parts available with the sale of the car.
