1988 Toyota Celica Gen 4 St165 GT-Four Liftback

This GT-Four is currently advertised on classiccars.com in Virginia USA, asking $10,900 (USD). The ST165 - the first of the GT-Four Celicas - was a very successful rally car in the late 1980s, winning 13 WRC events from 1989 - 1992, and creating a rally legend that would continue through to the introduction of the ST205 model. The car competed against other rally legends of the era such as the Lancia Delta Integrale, and the Ford Escort RS Cosworth - yet the prices of these competitors are substantially higher than those asked for the Celica.

The seller notes the vehicle import condition is "Grade 4", with the car reportedly having only 148,055 kilometres on the clock. With 26,500 units produced globally, the GT-Four ST165 is not exactly a rare homologation special by most standards, but still represents an era of motorsport that will continue to attract interest, and investors. $10,500 therefore seems a reasonable price in the USA for this right hand drive example.
