1932 Austin Seven Special
Vehicle details
A nice project Austin Seven special on offer in New Zealand, asking $7,000 in December 2017. Originally restored in the early 1980’s, we had many happy years Motoring throughout New Zealand with the VCC and Austin Reg, but time came a few years later to re design and re restore her to add a fold down soft top and Aluminium guards (they are ready to attach) The V windscreen was removed ready for a flat screen. Hood bows were made in readiness. Old photo shows original restoration.
After it was partially dismantled and some work done, other projects got in the way of progress, so it has been stored ever since.Ill Health necessitates her sale.
Built on a long wheel base 1932 A7 Chassis, many of the parts and running gear are pre 1931.
This is a complete Car, however many of the parts are in boxes.
There is no Reg or WOF as these lapsed some years ago, so a complete new Reg will be required after her rebuild.
Body is Marine ply in excellent condition, originally covered with dark Green Hoodhide, now removed. New owner can either have the ext body painted, or an Aluminium Skin applied or have it recovered in Hoodhide. The Upholstery is in very good condition. Mechanically it will require a total restoration.
Lots of boxes of spare parts (some non Austin parts shown are not included)
Running on 17 inch wheels, the 5 tyres are great. There is a spare wheel carrier on the drivers side, chromed air vents on the body sides, Gearbox is not in the Car, but is separate.
4 Seater, 2 Adults and 2 smaller Children. Or 2 Adults and 1 in the rear seating.
Good storage space behind the rear seat accessed by popout doors.
