April 13, 2021 - Australia / Mercedes
One of the more expensive 560SECs on the register - this one was spotted in April 2021, asking $90,000 AUD. The car has just 140,000km on the clock, and looks immaculate. Some of these cars (particularly the low km Australian delivered examples), have exploded in value in recent times. Interestingly, the 380 and 500SEC models have not quite followed in any way, and you can get those under $20,000 still quite comfortably. The 560, as the top spec mode, in the S class range, was bound to take off...
April 13, 2021 - Australia / Mercedes
This white SEC is one of the cheapest 560s on the market at the moment, and has vercy low Ks for its age (just 190,000!). Presumably an Australian delivered car, it looks to be in good order, and even the driver's seat has held up well. I presume the interior is mushroom. This one was asking $33,000 in April 2021 on carsales Australia.
April 13, 2021 - Australia / Ssangyong
This one has been on and off the kmarket for the last two years in Australia - asking less than $5,000 in early 2020 if we recall correctly, and then purchased, and immediately advertised for $12,000, then for $6K, and now it's back up at $10K in April 2021. Not sure what's going on - but anyway it's an interesting car. One of the previous owners has clearly embraced the Mercedes W124 coinnection that these cars have, painting teh car a Mercedes Blue (looks to be Beryl coloured Mercedes??), and...
April 8, 2021 - Australia / Datsun
OK, so this one is completely stuffed, and likely not restorable (so, let's keep a permanent record of it here on CR). It looks to be finished in light blue, wiuth a blue/black interior, which I can only presume is factory.. These cars suffered terribly from rust, and from the bad images in this advertisement, I can only assume this car is not restoreable. I don't know that it's actually a 74 model - I'm just guessing. Anyway, some more 180B SSS porn for people to view. If you have one, chuck it...
April 7, 2021 - New Zealand / Toyota
They don't come up often, but when they do we usually track them down :).The ultimate Crown Coupe in my opinion - there appear to be a few of these over in NZ, and this one popped up on Trademe NZ in APril 2021, asking $35,000 NZD. Looks to be an original car finished in a very nice silver blue At the time the car was offered, the seller noted the following comments: Like a Japanese pillarless mustang but more collectible, very much an appreciating classic - power steer electric rear quarter...
April 6, 2021 - Australia / Coupe
This one has been advertised on Ebay Australia for some time, but there doesn't seem to be much appetite for it at the price of $60,000 AUD. If it was under 40, I think it would be snapped up quickly. There is currently a 130 in pieces (ineeds full restoration) on gumtree.com.au, asking $1,500! So they can bhe picked up super cheap, but gejnerally require a lot of rust repairs. It seems like this one has been very well looked after though, and no rust to speak of..
April 6, 2021 - Australia / Sedan
Rare B4 liberty spotted on Ebay Australia in April 2021 - asking $12,000 (buy it now). 190kw with a manual transmission, in a relatively compact sedan - these are very impressive stats for 2002. Factory upgrades (outsid eof the engine) include: Lightened alloy control arms - front and rear, Bilstien struts' and upgraded spring rates, BBS rims, Blue/black leather interior and Mono steering wheel
April 6, 2021 - Australia / Holden
Spotted this HDT VC for sale on Grays.com in April 2021. Very rare, and price expected to go much higher (when I spotted this, bids were only up tp $34,500. One of only 39 Manuals in Tuxedo black. The VC HDT’s origins came about from the need to fund the newly purchased HDT Race Team. All production models were either Palais White, Firethorn Red or Tuxedo Black, based on the Marlboro colours. All vehicles featured the Carmine coloured interior and were all SL/E based, so came with the crushed...
April 6, 2021 - Australia / Mitsubishi
This original Sigma GSR sedan was advertised on Grays Online - who manage to always have a huge selection of interesting classics from the 80s including these sort of perculiar cars that tend to sit in sheds.. The GSR was the top model in the sigma range, aknd have a few sports features like the pepper pot allous, redline trim, spoiler and unique trim. Unsure whether the power specs were actually higher than the standard Sigma (but I presume so..). 80s styling has certainly come of age.. I didn...
April 5, 2021 - Australia / Peugeot
This was a very popular blue on the GTI when it came out, but it seems there are far more silhver examples for sale online. This one came up in April 2021, asking just $2,500 - but noting that Ks are average at 210,000.. Seems cheap still, and the seller noted that the only reason it doesnt run is because the battery died, and a scan tool is needed to reset the ECU.. Worrth checking out if you've got a reset tool!
April 5, 2021 - Australia / Peugeot
This future classic 206 GTI 180 hatch was advertised through "Collectible Classics", and according to the original advertisement, the car was oiwned new by an elderly man, and has only 115,000km logged on the clock, and comes with all books and a full service history. There seem to be a fair few low KM examples out there - this oine asking $10,000 in April 2021..Check out the others on the register below.
April 5, 2021 - Australia / Peugeot
This vgery low km example was advertised on Gumtree Australia and several other places, asking $14,800 in April 2021. This is a high price compared to others on the market at the time (most of which ask around $5,000 on average) - but we note that this car's Ks probably justify a higher price - just not sure that 15 K is quite where that price should be at this point in time. These classic hatches were introduced just before everything in the world went turbocharged. A great looking classic...
