Rare 1965 Studebaker Daytona Sports Sedan in Bordaux Red, found on Hemmings.com in February 2017. The seller described this one as an unrestored car, and was asking $55,000 at the time of sale. Considering we've seen these go for under $10,000 in good condition recently, this is a very high asking price. One of our favourite Studebaker models, and one of only 620 V8 Sport Sedans built in 1966, here on Ebay with a very low starting bid. Believed to be one of the last GTs sold in Australia, we have a copy of this vehicle's original purchase receipt - which shows a sale date of April 1973, at $2,799.40 (AUD). On an old forum where this car was found, the members noted that the engine number quoted on the receipt was actually 100 units higher than the engine number they had sighted on this car - explaining the difference in this car's details. This is a fantastic example of an extreemly rare Australian manufactured GT EL Falcon. This is build number 74 of approximatly 250 units. This car is the dark maroon which was a popular colour for the Gts of the time and as you can see by the paintwork the exterior is in extreemly good shape for a 20 year old car. This one's been verified as a genuine GT500, with the relevant Marti report to prove it, and is also listed on the Shelby Registry.
