Nissan
This GTS1 was found advertised on Gumtree Australia in January 2017, and at the time was asking $4,000 (AUD), located in Newcastle. This is a fairly low price to ask, however, the car has some fairly bad rust in the A-pillars, and elsewhere as the seller noted at the time. For those that don't know these cars, this is an Australian special edition Nissan Skyline R31, known as the GTS1 Silhouette. All the GTS1 cars were painted white. Some of the visually distinguishing features of the car...

Leyland
This Green Iridium Leyland Mini LS was offered for sale through the Leyland Mini Facebook page in January 2017. It was offered with a very reasonable and tempting asking price of $4,000 ono. Depending on the rust situation, this could represent a great bargain for someone looking for a very rare car. The Seller also noted that they would have a 1275 LS soon offered for sale as well. If you are interested in the Leyland Mini LS cars, please have a look at Classic Register's 998 LS ID-Guide, and...

A nut and bolt restored 998 LS - converted to 1275cc - this car was offered on Gumtree in January 2017, asking $20,000! A lot to ask at the time for an LS, but considering the amount the seller claims was spent on the restoration, it's only a fraction of what it would cost someone to do the same themselves. Originally, this car would have been fitted with the 998cc engine, had a vinyl roof, and been painted either Silver Blue, Nugget Gold, Hi-Ho Silver or Iridium Green. Unfortunately, these...

This rare 1275 LS was added to the register in January 2017. It is currently the second earliest (chassis number) on the register, on which we now have details of around 70 1275 LS cars. The current owner purchased this car in 1994, and has had the vehicle in storage, with the intention of having Mini specialist Ron Williams undertake the restoration in Tenterfield NSW. New pictures will be posted as the project progresses. For more information on the 1275 LS, see the 1275 LS ID-guide here.

This RS2000 coupe was available through Gumtree Australia in January 2017 - asking only $9,000 AUD (relatively affordable if the body is in good condition!). We've seen restored examples asking over $30,000, so this would not be a bad place to start with a genuine car, even if it needs a lot of work. It looks like it might be a bit rough, but hopefully someone will be able to restore this to original! See all of the RS2000s on the Ford Escort RS2000 Register here.

This GTS2 Silhouette Skylie was offered for sale in January 2017, asking $14,500 on carsales. This is one of 200 made, and is number 066. The car appears to be in reasonable condition, and this asking price is slightly higher than prices we've seen on others in recent years. We'd expect these to be asking at least over $10,000 by 2020, given their status as an Australian produced sports car with a motorsport association. See all of the GTS2s on the R31 Skyline GTS2 Register here. If you own one...

Convertible
One of only 703 1964 Daytona convertibles built - this car was offered for sale through Happy Days Dream Cars at some stage around 2012 (estimated). It is absolutely immaculate, and largely all original, coming with original documentation as shown in the images. At the time, the seller made the following comments: "It has only 13,198 original low miles, it still retains the factory original paint, drivetrain, interior and even the top (Miraculous condition for 50 yrs old!). The only thing that...

This rare 998 LS was offered in January 2017, and interestingly (we confirmed directly with the seller) it has a chassis number and production date with the same prefix of only two other cars on our register. Being a February 77 built car, this suggests that the car may have been an ex-demonstration vehicles at car shows in early 1977, as the majority of LS production is believed to have been from June 1977 onward. See our 998 LS ID-guide for more information on these cars, and have a look at...

Studebaker
This car Studebaker Daytona was advertised through Mecum auctoins some years ago, and looks particularly good with the Edelbrock wheels which are often applied to Mustangs. This Daytona is fitted with a 259 Studebaker V8 producing 195hp, and 3-speed automatic transmission. Can't get over how good those wheels look on these Studebakers! If you have a Studebaker Daytona, please add it to Classic Register so we can keep track of these rare cars that are still surviving!

Lamborghini
There Were only 48 of the LM 001s ever manufactured by the supercar company. This was a change for Lamborghini which is best known for its supercars. This 4WD is truley rare and has the pricetag to prove it. At the end of 2016 This particular car was advertised for Just under $250,000 USD. This along with the LM 002 feature a V12 (5.2L), believe it or not the current asking price is on the lower end of the scale for a car like this. Most of these cars you will discover have very low origional...

Aston Martin
Truley a rare find, In 1955, Aston Martin initiated a programme for a new replacement for the DB2/4 Development of the all-new DB4 started with a prototype, DP 114, completed early in 1956. Unimpressed by the original styling, Aston Martin thought that the the new car should be entrusted to an external styling house. This incredibly original, Geneva show car was the 5th DB4 Series 1 to be built and the second factory demonstrator - Chassis No. DB4/105/L. First registered in March 1959 when it...
