Ford
This Ford Escort RS2000 is one of approximately 2,400 built in Australia in MK2 form, and certainly one of far fewer original vehicles left. The Australian MK2 RS Escorts were produced in both 2-door and 4-door body styles, with the 4-door version the only RS-2000 sedan produced in the world. Very occasionally these cars come up in such an original state as this one, which is currently listed on Gumtree Australia. This car represents a unique, original example, which is particularly hard to come...

Another very rare GTS-R on the register. This one was for sale on http://rivsuimports.com in May 2016, asking $20,000 USD. One of only 800 produced, these are the most desirable in the R31 range, and were produced to qualify the R31 for Group A motor racing. These cars competed in the Japanese Touring Car Championship, the Australian Touring Car Championship, as well as several European championships who conformed to the Group A format. We expect these cars to be increasingly desirable in future...

This is the first GTS-R on Classic Register, one of a small batch of 800 built, representing an extremely desirable model in the R31 Skyline range. The GTS-R was produced to satisfy Japanese Touring Car Championship (JTCC) Group A homologation rules, and was highly successful in international Group A touring car championships well beyond Japan’s borders. The R31 GTS-R took out the 1989 JTCC as well as the 1990 Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), whilst also competing in European touring...

You don’t see many of these old GTSs running around these days, as owners are increasingly aware of the value in preserving what has become another Australian classic. This car is unit number 76 of approximately 130 GTS cars built in the VP series, and appears to be in neat condition for its age - a credit to the current and previous owners. The current owner has listed this one for sale on Carsales at $35,000. It's certainly not that cheap, but taking into account that the car was stored for 10...

This is a rare Leyland Mini 1275LS found online some time ago (2006), where it was confirmed that the car was restored (see old and new pic). If you are the current owner and have any details on the car, we would really like to see where it ended up / whether it's still around. It is unknown how many 1275 LS’s are still on the road, however, we have managed to collect the details of a decent number of cars on the register here. If you have any information about any of the cars we have on this...

Probably the most poorly documented car we have on the register. This is the only image we have of this car, but at least it confirms the chassis number and the month of manufacture. This was pulled off a very old forum post from about a decade ago (found in 2016). If anyone knows the car, please get in contact with us. We would love to track this one down, and upload some additional images, and details. Looks like it may have been repainted black?? If you have any information about any of the...

This LS found on Ausmini forums 2016 - the post was from 2010 or earlier. If you have any information about this car or any of the cars we have on this register, or would like to have your 1275 LS put on the register, please get in contact with us. Please do contact us if you know the engine number of this car, so we can update the records on this page. This 1275LS, the 4th last produced, is unfortunately believed to no longer be with us (according to forum discussion on Ausmini). Reportedly, this car was burnt out on Tasmania many years ago - but at least we can put it on our register to acknowledge where the 4th last car ended up. The car's fate was revealed after a post from the owner who had the car in the late 1980s, and was following up its whereabouts in 2009. After the owner tracked the car's eventual whereabouts to Tasmania, the...

The 1980s saw some great touring cars, and this particular car was born from this very unique era in Australian motorsport history, where competitors were moving from cubic inches to turbo chargers under ever changing competition regulations. This particular car is an ultra-rare version of Australia’s XE Ford Falcon, produced under the direction of the famous racing driver Dick Johnson. Having undertaken a little research, we’ve found it difficult to locate comprehensive information on these...

One of the most rusted LSs we've ever seen. Found on Ausmini forums - someone was restoring this as a project. If anyone has more information on whether the car was ever restored, that would be appreciated. Hoping that this one was brought back to life despite how far gone it was. If you're interested in the 998LS minis, see our ID-guide here, which runs through various identificatoin criteria, which may also assist with restoration: LS ID Guide

Since the 190E 2.5-16 was included in our top 10 modern classics article, it's about time we started having a look at a few that have come up for sale to see what's happening with values. This car presents a particularly nice example from the UK. This is one of only 5,743 of the 2.5 litre Cosworth cars produced (excluding the later Evo models), and having only 77k miles from new, represents a well preserved modern classic. This particular car sold for £18,000 at the end of April 2016 through a...

We had purchased this car about 4 years ago damaged on the left front guard. It is now in the the process of repairs and restoration. We are going to try and keep the originality of the classic 998LS. We have replaced the L/H/F guard & re-aligned the front panels. Rust from the bottom of the doors has just been cut out & plated. Besides the inner door rust the rest of the body has normal surface rust under seam moulds etc which will all be removed over all I think it's iin very good condition...
