This 1980 VC Sl/E was advertise don Ebay Australia in June 2021 asking $13,000. The car is originally a 6-cylinder which has undergone a V8 conversion. I can see a pretty cooil Brock conversion hapipening to this thing.. Alternatively, it could be brought back to its originanl spec (the SL/E being a high spec variant of the Commodore at the time). A few of these have come up recently - this one has 170,000km, perfect paint and interior (according to the seller at the time), and just had 7k spent to get it back on the road (I would believe that..). The seller noted that recent work included Timing belts, pullies all fluids changed, new Volvo alternator, bump stops all replaced with genuine Volvo parts. This ESP XD was advertisedin May 2021, and was originally a 6-cylinder ESP, but now has a 351 V8. The car was reconditioned 5 years earlier, and the seller noted it has a new reco carby, new coil, leads and plugs, reco'd C4 trans , new master cylinder new brake booster. Unbelievable that a 6 cylinder factory car could be asking this sort of price - at the time asking $75,000. Check out the others on the register below.

This 242 GT was advertised in several places including on FB Marketplace in May 2021, asking $16,500 - a fairly reaosnable price considering several lately have been over 20k.. The seller at the time noted this car is registered and reliable , has had a cylinder head overheal, with new valves, new water pump, brake booster, etc. It was offered with a complete spare engine and gearbox. This is the first one on the register, and wow do they rust. Check out the image of the roiof which will require an entirely new roof to be welded in. A very rare JDM turbo hatch, only seen a few comr up over the years in this model (far fewer than the later Turbo Starlets). Anyway thought it worth adding to the register, it is worth saving! Trim looks very good - unsure what rust in the rest of the car is like.

This ST165 Celica GT-Four was spotted for sale on Gumtree Australia, asking $8,000 AUD. A fairly good price for a car with low ks, these are expected to jump in value (I'm surprised they havent yet!), being a very successful WRC Grounp A car, and one of few to be able to take on the Lancia Deltas, and other dominators of late 80s/early 90s rallying. A serious modern classic at a very reasonable price. This one was offered for sale in late May 2021.

Another great looking Starion GSR Turbo Starion found on trademe NZ. This one looks great, with black leather trim, and was asking $25,990 - a fairly high price for these cars at the time (several others are online under 15k). This one is a NZ delivered new car, and has been fitted with a 2.0 Turbo G63B Engine, with 5 speed manual (factory). Check out the other Starions on the register below. This Red Mazda BG GT-X was advertised on Trademe.co.nz in May 2021 - this car is a very early GT-X, being an 89 model - the first year in the BG series. Reasonable Ks on the clock at nearly 180,000. A few issues were noted by the seller at the time of sale: It has a Front wheel drive gearbox fitted and the seller at the time thought the clutch was blown as it selects gears when turned off but when started it makes noise then you put your foot on the clutch noise goes away and will not select any...

A nicely restored Starion spotted on trademe.co.nz. This one is a JDM model, fitted factory with an intercooled 2.6l (presumably astron) engine. These are great looking 80s coupes, and have been cheap for a while, and this one was asking $about $13,000 NZD which really isn't a bad deal when compared to come other contemporary turbo coupes from the Era - and this pafticular car has had rust professionally repaired. This super-rare Cowrona coupe is a Japanese import to NZ, which has very low Ks for its age, and the once strange design is looking cooler by the day. We never got this model in Australia, and as far as I'm awrae there are none in Australia, but NZ has managed to bring in a few cars under their looser import regulations over the years.
