June 7, 2021 - Australia / Ford
One of the best colours for the F6 Typhoon. This oine was asking $38,000 on carsales.com.au in June 2021, and is build number 220. At the time of sale, the seller noted it had a fully built original engine (Matching numbers) - H-Beam spool Rods with l19 rod bolts, CP Custom pistons - 10:1 Comp Ratio, ACL Race Bearings, 360 degree thrust. ARP Main studs, ARP Head Studs, Crow Race Valve Springs, Ross Racing 20% underdrive balancer, Crank/flywheel dowelled. Extreme Twin Plate Ceramic clutch, T56...

This F6 Typhoon is build number 26 of just 300 R-Spec Typhoons. This car was advertised on Gumtree Australia in June 2021, and the seller notes the car does not have any damage, and has never been tuned/raced. The R-Spec cars had several upgrades including stiffer suspension and 19'x8" alloy wheels, leather seats, R Spec floor mats, MP3 accessory port and F6 R Spec build plates and badging. Colours that the R Spec. The R Spec Typhoons can also be identified by their "thunderstorm grey" inserts...
June 7, 2021 - Japan / Simca
This Gloris (230 series) - sometimes referred to the Datsun 260C in markets such as Australia, is a rare beast - and one of the high end Japanese coupes of the era. The 4-door versions are far more common, so I tend to be more drawn to adding the rarer coupes to the register these days. This one is fitted with the 2.6l engine, with manual box. Looks fairly straight and in great condition for its age. Again, its got one of thos ridiculously low Japanese milage counts - at just 85,500lm. Looks...
June 7, 2021 - Japan / AMC
Only have a couple of these Coronas on the register - the MKIIs were quite a popular coupe in Australia, but we sadly never receoved this particulat model in Australia (other than in sedan and wagon form). Great to see rusvivors like this in Japan, available for export. Finished in dark green, the car looks very original, and I presume it's a base model 1976 Corona coupe (having 1800 GT badging). Note, it's actually badged as a Toyopet.. This example was advertised on several Japanese used car...
June 7, 2021 - Japan / Ford
The second S110 hardtop on the register - this one aslo advertised on a few JDM websites, asking $19,990 USD in June 2021. Looks like a great example in white, and relatively low Ks at 146,000.. Hoping a few of these classics end up in Australia - bever seen one.
June 6, 2021 - Japan / Ford
This is one of the most populat body styles for the classic Crown (reflecting something very similar to many US muscle cars of the era. This MS50 series Crown was advertised on tradecarview in June 2021, and was asking $16,500. CLaims to have only 31,000km, but I've become sceptical about such old cars having such low mileage... I could be wrong. Check out the other Crowns on the register below.
June 6, 2021 - Japan / Ford
This is the first S110 Crown coupe on classicregister.com. and was spotted for sale on a Japanese export website asking about $14,000 USD in June 2021. You never see the S110 series coupes - there atre plenty of sedans in export markets like Australial but we suspect the coupe was available only in the Japanese market. Despite looking like a large luxury coupe, this Crown has a manual transmission, and just a 2.0l 4-cylinder engine. Looks in great condition, but I'm not sure about those wire...
June 5, 2021 - Australia / Lancia
Nice original Chrysler Sigma Scorpion - spotted online asking $8,000 AUD in June 2021. Great looking cars (the earlier models) - I'm not much of a fan of the later 81 onward models that were badged as Mitsubishi - they lost some of their flair (they were a lot more Boxy and lacked the nice roof line of these earlier cars). See the others on the register beloa - and if you have one, please add yours to the register here - these seem to be a forgotten coupe of the late 70s, and are veru affordable...
June 5, 2021 - Japan / Mazda
We spotted this nice example of the Landau in Japan, asking $22,000 USD + import costs. We've got a few of these on the register here, and this one looks in amazing original condition, with just 77,000km on the clock since new. Check out the others on the register below, and if you have one, please share yours here.
June 5, 2021 - Australia / Toyota
Another Austrailan survivor! This one up on the north coast of NSW. Plenty of rust, and in need of a full resto, it is always worth saving these very rare hardtop Coronas. This one was advertised online in June 2021, askinf $15,000. Too high for its condition we think. Hoping it gets into enthusiast hands, and swaps the paddock for a garage. There are quite a few of the MX22 Corona hardtops on classicregister.com now - chec k out some of the ohers below.
June 3, 2021 - Australia / Nissan
This original unrestored Bluebird TR-X was advertised on Facebook marketplace in 2021 - but had sold by the time I had spotted it. It looks just salvageable, but has a bit of rust that needs urgent attention. Hopefully the buyer restores to its former glory. It has some rust in the roof & at the bottom of the rear window on the RH side. It came with a NOS Nissan roof panel for extra cost - the car at the time was asking $3,500 AUD.
June 3, 2021 - Australia / Coupe
Super rare 260C - found pictures of this one online, just restored in 2021 in the Netherlands. Looks amazing, with matching trim and the vinyl top roof. A great example of an original restoration. Not many of these 260Cs around (particularly in coupe form). If you have one, please share yours on the register.
