June 3, 2021 - Australia / Nissan
This original unrestored Bluebird TR-X was advertised on Facebook marketplace in 2021 - but had sold by the time I had spotted it. It looks just salvageable, but has a bit of rust that needs urgent attention. Hopefully the buyer restores to its former glory. It has some rust in the roof & at the bottom of the rear window on the RH side. It came with a NOS Nissan roof panel for extra cost - the car at the time was asking $3,500 AUD.
June 3, 2021 - Australia / Coupe
Super rare 260C - found pictures of this one online, just restored in 2021 in the Netherlands. Looks amazing, with matching trim and the vinyl top roof. A great example of an original restoration. Not many of these 260Cs around (particularly in coupe form). If you have one, please share yours on the register.
June 3, 2021 - Australia / Ford
This one has been on Ebay for a while now, with a buy it now price of $95,000. To be honest, there will be a day where that will seem like a bargain.. This is probably the pinnacle of Australian luxury coupes - as good as it got, before all of the brands started to become boring and only make 4-door luxury cars in Australia ;). The seller at the time made the following comments: 351 v8 t-bar automatic finished in factory yencken brown duco with lovely parchment trim both in excellent order for...
June 3, 2021 - Australia / Mercedes
This V123 long wheel base factory limo was advertised on Ebay Australia in June 2021, and had a buy it now price of 35,000. Supposedly this is one of 1,500 6-cylinder cars built, and previously belonged to the Bank of London (from new) before being imported to Aus from the UK. This one is said to be in immaculate condition, and drives well, seating 8 people in comfort.. If you've got one of these rare factory W123 limousines, please add yours to the register. You certainly don't see these every...
June 2, 2021 - Australia / Mitsubishi
This early 3000 GT was advertised on Ebay Australia (and has been for some time), asking $33,000 AUD. Very low Ks for its year (at just 90,000), and appears to be in very original condition. The seller at the time noted the following vehicle history: Personal import from Japan in 2000 with less than 60,000 kms Grade of 4.5 Sold in 2003 with 62600 kms . Last owner had for last 18 years only travelling another 30,000kms This rare Mitsubishi is presented in immaculate condition. Only modifications...
June 2, 2021 - Australia / Mitsubishi
This car was advertised on fb marketplace in June 2021, asking $36,000 AUD. 144,000 km on the clock, it looks in great condition, and has late modelk whrome plated wheels fitted. At the time the car was advertised, the seller noted: "The MR model is lighter, faster than an R33 & R34 GTR over the 60ft, 100m, 1/4 mile and full mile, and less problematic than the standard GTO due to removal of electronic features and all wheel steer. Videos of the MR GTO besting an R33 GTR in the slalom can also be...
June 2, 2021 - Australia / Mitsubishi
This GTO was advertised through a dealer in Sydney NSW in 2021, asking $42,990.It's been online for a while, so potentially its asking a bit too much. The cars are Mitsubishi's version of the Skyline GT-R. They were sold in the US market in addition to Japan, so are fairly well known and have a good following globally. This is the mid-range facelift - this car being a 1997 model, so it lost the pop-up lights in favour of a slightly different and interesting headlight design. You really don't see...
June 2, 2021 - Australia / Jaguar
Spotted for sale in Adelaide South Australia, this V8 XJR (X308) was asking $22,000 in June 2021 - a fairly standard market rate, with fairly low Ks at 188,000 (many others on the market have over 250,000). Looks in great condition, an excellent modern classic. I think the colour is dark green, but it's difficult to tell from the quality of the images.. Check out the other X306 and X308 XJRs on the register below. If you have one, please upload yours and share its history :)
June 2, 2021 - Australia / Jaguar
This X306 XJR (6-cylinder) is an early example of the XJR in the X300 series, and had a very impressive 240kw of power. Finisged in a light blue metallic with cream cloth, it's a rare modern classic, but not wuite as desirable as the later X308 V8 cars which were up in power even more.. We've had a thing for these cars for many years, and they are a great modern classic jag. This one was advertised on Gumtree Australia and several other places online in June 2021 - asking $30,000 AUD. A bitg...
June 2, 2021 - Australia / Jaguar
Spotted for sale in July 2021, this XJR has the 4.0 supercharged V8, which is good for 276KW. This thing would flog the equivalent HSV of the time, and that is of course part of the reason that prices have held above $20,000 for quite some time now. This particular car was asking $25,000 at the time of offering, and has fairly high Ks at just under 250,000. A modern classic Jag, there are few sedans of the 90s that pulled off the Retro look so well as the XJ300s. Check out the others on the...
June 1, 2021 - Australia / SS
1990 VN SS, this one asking in the high 20s in June 2021! Hoe far they've come.. This one has is an auto power pack and has a 3.90 inch full spooled diff with Corvette servos, but other than that seems to be quite an original car. I really love the alloy wheels they applied to these SS models - they make the car look a bit more modern. Check out the other VN SS cars on the register below, and if you have one, get yours on the list :)
June 1, 2021 - Australia / Mitsubishi
This is a JDM special, a few of which have made their ways to the Australian shores in recent years. The RVR in itself wasn't a particularly exciting car, but when you placed the rally-bred Galant GSR drivetrain in it, it was certainly something unique. Effectively, it's an EVO on stilts, fitted with the 4G63 2.0 Turbo engine, a 5 speed manual transmission and is 4WD. The engine produces uover 170kw - Plenty in a car of this size and type. This is the first one we've put on the register, but we...
