November 16, 2014 - United Kingdom / Seven
This Austin 7 Chummy has undergone a recent restoration (in 2008), and is in very good condition. This is an early 1928 Chummy, as distinguished from the later models by the location of the headlamps. Earlier Chummy cars have headlamps located just in front of their windscreen, as is the case on this particular car. Later models had headlights located more conventionally at the front of the car. This car is believed to be an all British car. Many Austin 7's are seen coming from Australia and New...
November 12, 2014 - Australia / Leyland
This is a particularly rare 998LS. Like the Nugget Gold 998 LS and the Green 998 LS, this one is believed to be one of 15 produced in this colour, to test the market prior to the launch of the 1275LS later in 1978. The Hi Ho Silver, and Nugget Gold colours obviously did well in the showroom, with those colours being selected for the final 1275LS. Other example of the green and gold mini 998 LS's can be seen by searching classicregister.com. This car, being a 1978 model, has the chassis...
November 9, 2014 - United States / Amilcar
This is the most famous model of all Amilcar's - CGS 'Grand Sport' of 1924, featuring a 1,074cc engine and four-wheel brakes. This model evolved into the more sporty CGSS 'Grand Sport Surbaisse.' This is one of only 948 produced! This Amilcar CGSS is powered by a 1244cc four-cylinder engine. This was raced in New England throughout the 1950s and later. It was purchased by Gordon Heald in 1965, and raced actively until it was donated to the Heritage Museum in Sandwich, Massachusetts, in 1995. The...
November 8, 2014 - Australia / Albion
This is an Albion Glasgow Type SPCX19W. This double decker has spent most of the last 30 years inside sheds and is well preserved. The Bus is original and complete (including destination board). The bus also has all of the original seats and interior, and overall, everything is in good original condition considering its age, having never been restored. The last image in this collection is of this bus (on the left) at the Willoughbby Depot open day in 1978. This is believed to be taken soon...
November 8, 2014 - Australia / SS
Originally a US market car, imported to Australia some years ago. The car currently has the front panels removed, as it all undergoes a rebuild. The plan is to also convert the car to right hand drive. The body on the car is in very good condition with minimal rust, other than the floor pans. More pictures and information to come. If you have a Chev SS, please upload it on classicregister!
October 28, 2014 - United Kingdom / Coupe
1981 car, grey interior, manual transmission - the most desirable combination. Production variants: bonnet grooves, no gas flap, earlier pull straps, seperate side bolster, black wheel caps and Craig radio with digital clock. Correct lower front springs and stainless steel coolant tank have been fitted. Otherwise the car is totally unmodified, including original CAT and exhaust system. Good battery. Tyres all very new (still "hairy"). All gas struts work correctly, and the doors do not "droop"...
October 28, 2014 - United Kingdom / Coupe
This Datsun 240z is a UK survivor, being extremely rare these days in the UK market. The 240Z competed in many rally events and proved to be an extremely successful sports car on and off the track (noting in partucilar its performance in the Safari Rally of 1971). It combined european sports car performance and handling with the affordability, reliability and servicability of a Japanese car. This was a winning combination, and the 240z continues to be increasingly desirable around the world...

October 10, 2014 - Australia / Leyland
This mini is a late model 998 LS, as indicated on its ID tag. 78 model 998 LS's had a similar ID tag to the 1275 LS, however, instead of an identification of XNFAD, they had an ID of XNFAB. The ID tag also did not specify "LS", as was the case with pre 78 models. This is my understanding of it, but please correct me if you know otherwise. Like the green 998 LS, this Gold LS is one of about 8 built, as a test case before production of the 1275 LS. It seems that this colour got a good response, as...
October 10, 2014 - Australia / Leyland
This car, along with the nugget gold version of the 998 LS represent the most rare of all production mini's. This mini has clearly been restored in the original Iridium Dulux green, with gold stripes (as was also original). It is said that only approximately 8 of the green and 8 of the gold 998LS cars were manufactured, in order to test the waters for the upcoming 1275 LS. From my understanding, these green and gold cars were distributed to dealers around the country to guage a response in order...
October 10, 2014 - Australia / Leyland
Unfortunately this 998 LS has been completely parted out, with only the shell left in a fairly average state. That's not to say it wouldnt be worth restoring however. This turned up on Ebay in 2013, and fortunately had the chassis number available so we could add it to our register. However, we were not able to trak the fate of the car. If anyone has any information on it, including its history or where it ended up, that would be appreciated. The blue 998 LS was the most common colour produced...
