Photo of my Mini GTS just after purchase new in October 1973. Note that it had no stripes or door mirrors. I sold it in 1975.

Chairman spotted for sale on https://www.beforward.jp/ - from its home town. Looks to be in excellent condition, but mileage unknown. Based on the W124 Mercedes sedan, the Ssanygong Chairman enabled the W124 to effectively extend its life over more than 20 years (and why not given Merc put so much time and effort into designing the W124). Still curious about how much of the underlying shell is W124..

A lovely colour combination on the 1275 GT, Gold on Creme with a gold decal. This one was spotted on trademe in late 2019, looks in solid original condition. Looks to be the correct original motor. At the time it was offered, the seller noted it runs and drives, but the rego was on hold. Check out the others on the 1275 GT register below - lots of NZ cars..

Clean 500 E, this one spotted on Ebay USA in November 2019. Looks in great condition for its age. Only 10,500 of these built, and they've always been on our modern classic list. Only 1,500 built for the 1993 year - engineered by Porsche. Certainly, prices are looking very up for good examples.

This is the first EB SVO we've seen - which we presume is a genuine car, although the advertisement provided no build number details, and virtually no details about the car generally. It appears to have some interesting SVO features including SVO front grille, spoiler, badging, dashboard, steering wheel and seat trim. Looks in good condition from the images. Not sure what work would have been done to the engine. WOuld love to hear others comments on the car, and whether it's a genuine SVO...

A very low km example of the S500 coupe, pre-facelift. Looks in great condition, one of very few in NZ. The seller at the time we spotted this one advertised noted the following: 50,087 original, AA certified ks since brand new Arrow silver two tone with black leather interior, excellent condition sunroof - no leaks or drips. electric seats - all functional. original stereo with amazing sound and boot mounted 12 cd changer - mercedes original. first registered in japan and imported to nz hardly...

Another C36 AMG spotted in NZ. This one has been advertised for at least 6 months, still no buyer at $14,995. Low KM at 130,000. Looks in relatively good condition. Like a lot of cars in NZ we believe this one was a private import, as the seller (dealer) advertise the fact that they import a lot of cars from Japan. Check out the others on the register.

A modern classic benz, the C36 was the first mass produced AMG offering, and these are fast becoming very collectable, especially with low mileage. This particular cat has only 92,000km on the clock - exceptional for its age. Only 5,200 were built in total. This C36 was spotted on Trademe NZ in December 2019. The original advertisement stated that the car had no Kiwi owners - so we presume this car has been imported from Japan or the UK. If you've got one, we'd love to see more added to the...

Its usually a while between discoveries - this the first 64 Daytona convertible that's come up in about 6 months or so, spotted on craigslist in Santa Rosa. The seller at the time noted it's fitted with the 259cu. 8 cylinder engine runs super strong loves cruising at 60mph. Floors solid, everything works except the convertible hydraulic pump needs rebuilding. A family car from NJ shipped to California in 2012 with 3,000 miles now reads 5,200. Spotted for sale on Ebay Australia in November 2019, this is a very rare SVO enhanced Falcon - only one other on the register here. At the time it was offered, the seller made the following comments: 1989 Ford Falcon EA SVO sedan, limited edition modified by performance engine builder Mick Webb and sold through authorised Ford dealers, the SVO was Ford's 'hero' car to compete against the likes of HSV and Nissan SVD. This is the first Daytona we've spotted on NZ, this one found on trademe.co.nz asking $18,500 in November 2019. Looks solid, however, has a modified engine bay paint job. I think we'd prefer the original Horizon Green metallic paint..The seller at the time noted: The car is basically how it come from the States, faded paint, no hood liner, put a set of 15x6 Cragars on it and drove it. Original and well preserved Daytona Sedan. This one found on https://mcecars.com/ after it had already sold. Jet Green seems to be a rare colour on the Daytona - this is only the second one weve got on the register. Unsure of mileage or where it ended up. But it looks relatively unaltered, with what appear to be refurbished (or at least clean) mechanicals.
