1978 1275LS Purchased from Romsey in Victoria around 1995 - originally Nugget Gold. Full restoration from ground up. Non original paint code or trim, custom dash, 1275 engine with a little work and SC Gearbox. Standard flaring with 5.5 Mini Lites x 12. Brakes converted to 4 pot and booster added. This was going to be a quick fixer upper but ended up being stripped and built from the ground up.

Spotted on Lloyds Auctions here in September 2020 - https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?smode=0&aid=18844&lid=2408797 CR did a write up on these cars some years ago - and production numbers were a bit uncertain - but from several sources we gathered under 50 were produced. The seller is claiming 35, which could be true. Check out some of the other examples on the register below.. The following vehicle Specifications were taken from the Lloyds auction site - link above: * Factory...

Mercedes
Spotted on Graysonline, this early S500 (looks to be maybe Onyx Grey?) looks in reaosnable condition but needs a tidy up. A couple of grille slats missing, and some fairly hefty wear on the old Benz leather driver's seat bolster. Relatively low Ks for the age (166,000), and sold with 10 months registration. Described by the auction house as being in "fair" condition all around, it comes with a full service history, two keys, and owners manuals. There are definitelky worse examples around, and...

A very rare site and one of only 224 Australian delivered E28 M535i examples, this first generation really stood out to us as an excellent investment for someone looking to spend around $20,000. This example is asking $23,000 Australian dollars - check out the advertisement here on carsales.com.au. Worldwide, there were around 10,300 of these cars built, and unsurprisingly they are proving increasingly desirable worldwide. Jump back on carsales in 5 years time and we're confident you'll see this...

Ford
This one came up for sale in August 2020 through Grays Online - see the link here to the original listing: https://www.graysonline.com/lot/0020-20007015/?mode=preview. This is an original ESP, 6-cylinder carby (only a couple of hundred believed to have been produced). This example has just over 150,000km, and did very well at auction, selling for $43,209. This is an amazing price for a 6-cylinder car, which aren't all that different from the standard XE Fairmont Ghias which you can get a good...

Ford
One of only 43 built, these TL series fairlanes are very special cars, and this one sold at Lloyds Auctoins in SA for just $13,000 - although the ks are fairly high and the trim is quite worn out as shown the images. The AU Fairlane is one of our favourite Fairlanes and was deliberately designed to look very different to its AU Falcon SWB sibling. Part of the reason for this was that the previous generation NL Fairlane was criticised for being too similar to the EL Falcon. This certainly worked...

Leyland
This 1978 998 LS was advertised on Ebay over several weeks in 2020. Finished in Iridium Green, and appears to be a very original car, with the seller stating it has 43,000 original km. Given the condition, the km claim is probably genuine. The Iridium Green cars came with cream cloth trim, 10 inch ROH mags (painted gold), and Marshal fog lamps built into the grille. Very few are around. This one needs a bit of work, and appears to be an unrestored but well preserved example of an original car...

Halvorsen
Spotted for sale on boatsales.com.au, the 24-foor Maree II was one of several offshore fishing sports boats built by Halvorsen in the early 1960s. This is probably the best example in existance, fully refurbished and now abailable for $94,750. See the link below for further details: https://www.boatsales.com.au/boats/details/1961-halvorsen-24-seaskiff/OAG-AD-18700741/?Cr=9 The seller at the time (May 2020) noted the following: Launched in 1961, Maree II was job number 1162 in the Halvorsen yard...
