July 30, 2021 - Australia / Mitsubishi
Spotted this Grandpa Gold Sigma GSR on gumtree in July 2021 and thought, well, the details of these older sports Mitsus need to be retained somewhere. This is the second one on the register here - the first one was also Grandpa gold but in rougher condition. This one looks in great condition for its age.. Quite unbelievable for this sort of car which was usually thrashed. Ks were not disclosed in the ad, and neither was the year - I am assuming its an 83 or 84 model. Would love to see some more...
July 29, 2021 - United States / Convertible
Don't think we've got this one on the register yet! Looks great and love the light coloured interior. This is a 259ci engined convertible - one of only 702 built.. Bidding was strong at near 15K USD with over 4 days to go when added - spotted on ebay USA in July 2021. Advertised by Classic Auto Mall in PA - they always get their hands on interesting Studebakers. Classic Auto Mall made the following comments about the car at the time of sale: Exterior This convertible version is looking all...
July 28, 2021 - Australia / Mercedes
This Japanese import C140 was offered on collectingcars.com in July 2021. As a Japanese import, as usual, it has low mileage.. But looks well used - someone has done a home job on the centre timber on the dash by the look of it. As an early car, you's want to check that the wiring loom had been repalaced and that the AC is in good working order - a couple of expensive jobs.. It will be very interesting to see what the auction brings - link here: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1994-mercedes...
July 28, 2021 - Australia / Mercedes
You don't often see them with this kind of mileage, but hey they will do it happily. 382,000km on the clock of this Australian delivered 140 series Mercedes S500 coupe - which in uly 2021 was asking $18,500. Given the mileage and wear/tear, it might be priced a bit high, or possibly a sign of where these cars currently stand in the world for collectors. Hope to see it undergo a restoration rather than be parted out. Not many of these around - especially Australian delivered. Surely less than 1...
July 24, 2021 - United States / Shelby
Original Owner since December 1967. Purchased new wat Fuller Ford in Cincinnati Ohio. Last year GT 500 was built in Los Angeles.
July 19, 2021 - Australia / Volkswagen
Another Graysonline special from the past - this one with just over 200,000km on the clock A bit rough here and there but looks mostly original - hopefully it was saved. Check out the other Satria GTis on the register below.
July 19, 2021 - Australia / Volkswagen
This Australian Satria GTi looks like it's had a lard life (like many of them did!) with fairly high ks up at 275,000, and some fair wear and tear to show for it. Still looks fairly original, but desparately needs a tidy up. We spotted this one on Graysonline in a google search - probably from a few years back now.. Not sure what the fate of this car was, but sadly I think it mmay have found its way to the patrts bin.. Hope not.
July 18, 2021 - United Kingdom / Volkswagen
Just came on Ebay UK in July 2021 - the selller noted that there were just 80 left on the UK roads (but I'm sure there are many more sitting in sheds as projects!). At the time it was offered, the seller noted the car is complete and was running until the week before listing, everything was working fine, ran great, windows work both sides which is unusual for these and all other electrics, Central locking, Standard recaro interior and suspension / handling set up by lotus originally, rally guys...
July 17, 2021 - South Africa / Pontiac
This is one of 1800 legendary Fairmont GT's sold in South Africa during the period 1970 to 1973. My Fairmont gave me excellent service since 1972. The car was utilised in Namaqualand which is a semi-desert area in South Africa and is therefore without any rust. Modifications made were a chromed air cleaner and chromed tappet covers. The car is as I received it in 1972. It is a phenomenal performer
July 16, 2021 - Australia / Volkswagen
Auction bargain from a while back spotted on Graysonline - this one looks like it sold for less than $2,000 Australian. It looks a little bit rough, but the price was right.. Not sutre when this auctoin was, but probably around 2018.. Looks like its fairly original - tape holding up the bumper, but all there. Check out the other Proton Satria GTis on the register below.
July 16, 2021 - United Kingdom / Volkswagen
Spotted this nice example from the UK - looks to be all original and in great condition with just over 50,000 miles on the clock. Some great images of the unique GTi features and badging in the image gallery. The car was asking GBP 3,595 in July 2021 - making the car pretty good value for its condition. One in good order in Australia I's expect to pay between $5,000 and $7,000 AUD.. If you've got one of these lotus tuned Satrias, please add yours to the register - they are getting rather thin on...
