This Chrysler Scorpion looks a bit run down, advertised on Facebook marketplace in May 2022 asking $7,200. The condition makes me think this is a little steep - I've seen some nicer example asking around that price, but it is still covid inflation times, so who knows what it's worth.. It would be a nice colour combo restored, and you would do some good black contrasting work with stripes in addition to the black factory vinyl C-pillar (a feature of this series that I love - the Landau style in a...

Found this 1275 LS project on Gumtree Australia in May 2022, asking $6,000 ONO. Looks like a fairly original example with most bits there. One of the last Australian Minis, this one is an October 1978 built car. See the others on the register - approaching 100 of these great limited edition 1275 Minis. The seller noted "Has back windows in the back of car ready for install. Keys in ignition.".. Not sure whether it's a runner, but presumably needs a bit to get her going.

This is a rare 4-speed manual example of the 64 Daytona, also factory fitted with front disc brakes. A great colour combination in Midnight black paint with red trim, and has a bunch of other interesting options including heavy duty springs. This one was advertised on Craigslist USA, located in Dunlap, Tennessee at the time, and was asking $16,500 USD. In the original advertisement, the seller made the following comments: "This is a Canadian assembled car with a unique vin # (64vc2001). The c...

This big block 440ci Super Bee was advertised through Ebay USA by North Shore Classics ( see the original ad here). The ad does not clearly specify this, but we presume the car is a factory 440 unit - noting the price tag of $149,900 USD... That's some serious money for this car, so it would need to be the real deal. The seller noted in the original advertisement that the car was a concourse judged example of the Super Bee, achieving a 971/1000 points Gold award. It's a 1/2 year production...

Another 850R Turbo imported to Australia - these are more prevalent than ever on Australian roads (which is a great thing). This example was offered on Grays auctions in May 2021 - bids just over 5K, reserve not yet met, and a couple of days to run on the auction at the time of writing. We've got one other 850 R Sedan in black on the register (but it's the earlier T5-R from 1995). This is the first black 96 model. Looks in reasonable condition for the km at over 230,000.. A lot of these come in...

This Road Runner has an original 35,000 miles on the clock, and was described as a completely original unrestored vehicle when we spotted it on Ebay USA in May 2022. Unfortunately there were a limited number of images provided, and they aren't the best quality, but it does look in very solid original condition. It would be difficult to find a lower mileage more original example, me thinks. This is the first generation of Road Runner, which is famous for its Nascar performances and was followed...

The second Super Bee from 1970 on the register - the 1970 model year is my favourite, with a very distinct "bee wing" front and rear end design. This colour has to be one of the best foir the 70s era - A Kermit green, which appeared in some form on most 1970s cars - even the classic Mini had a few colour options like this. I spotted this example on Ebay USA in May 2022, and at the time it was asking a classified price of $67,995. It's the 383 big block (of course that's the smallest of the big...

I never knew much about the "Super Bee" cars until I watched an episode of Rust Valley Restorers on Netflix - and I've instantly found these cars to be one of the muscle car gems of this great era. The large chrome grille rings on the front of the car are designed to resemble bee wings when you're viewing the car approaching - and the range were available in some great colours - this example in "Burnt Orange". This example has the 383ci V8 fitted, and believe it or not that's the smallest engine...

I've not been tempted to buy another car for some time - currently trying to finish off existing projects, but this one is testing my patience. The Daytona hardtop is at the top of my list of early US muscle cars, and this one claims to have been in storage since 1973 - and most importantly has very limited rust. The sills, doors and firewall all look very solid for a 64.. The seller also noted at the time that the engine turns by hand (i.e. is not ceased), so potentially it wouldn't be the most...
